The Honest Comparison
MBBS is 5.5 years plus residency. BDS is 5 years. MBBS has higher earning potential in most specializations but also requires more years of training. BDS offers a quicker path to independent practice, especially in private clinics.
The key question is not which degree is better — it is which career you can see yourself in for the next 30 years. If you are choosing BDS only because your NEET score does not allow MBBS, consider whether a gap year and re-attempt might be the better investment.
